Export Sales Manager (Sterile Pharmaceuticals / Hospital Market)

Join a well-established, mid-sized pharmaceutical organisation with a strong track record in the production and commercialisation of sterile and liquid medicines, as well as hospital-focused medical devices. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven Export Sales Manager to take ownership of business development and customer growth within the hospital market and selected specialist customer groups.

This role will suit an experienced sales professional with strong relationship-building capability, confident negotiation skills, and the motivation to grow and develop international sales opportunities within a high-value product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Hospital Market Sales: Present sterile pharmaceutical products to customers within the hospital market and selected specialist customer groups, managing the full sales cycle through to contract close.

New Business Development: Identify, approach, and acquire new customers across target export markets.

Key Account Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with decision makers and key stakeholders, ensuring strong account retention and development.

Purchasing Group Engagement: Support and manage key contacts within purchasing groups, ensuring strong commercial positioning and account visibility.

Commercial Agreements: Develop and negotiate cooperation agreements to support sustainable and scalable customer relationships.

Market Intelligence: Monitor and report on market trends including pricing, competitor activity, product developments, and evolving therapy pathways.

Growth Opportunities: Identify new distribution segments and sales potential, proactively exploring untapped commercial channels.

Industry Representation: Attend relevant conferences, seminars, and congresses to strengthen brand visibility and commercial networks.

Target Delivery: Deliver defined sales and profitability targets within the assigned territory and responsibilities.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education / Background: Degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Nutrition Science) or relevant commercial/medical technology training. Additional qualification as a certified pharmaceutical representative is advantageous.

Commercial Experience: Several years of professional sales experience with proven success in building strong customer relationships in the hospital market.

Negotiation Strength: Experience negotiating cooperation agreements and working effectively within structured procurement environments.

Systems & Tools: Solid MS Office proficiency and strong numerical/commercial understanding.

Sales Competency: Confident, self-motivated and results-driven with excellent interpersonal skills and strong sales capability.

Travel: Willingness to travel regularly, including overnight stays as required.
