Principal Scientist – Preclinical Pharmacology
Are you an experienced pharmacology scientist with a deep preclinical background in computational modeling? We are seeking a Principal Scientist to lead and shape preclinical pharmacology strategy across multiple therapeutic areas.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute preclinical pharmacology programs with a focus on PK/PD and PBPK modeling, leveraging tools like GastroPlus or similar platforms.
Lead and interpret animal ADME and PK studies.
Provide strategic input into project pipelines and mentor junior scientists in best practices across modeling and experimental pharmacology.
Required Expertise
PhD in pharmacology/neuroscience/cardiometabolism or another relevant discipline.
10+ years of non-clinical/preclinical experience (in silico/in vivo/in vitro/ex vivo)
Significant experience in computational modeling of PK/PD and PBPK
Experienced in animal ADME/PK studies
Strong familiarity with GastroPlus, Simcyp, or other PK modeling tools
Previous work in cardiovascular, cardiometabolic or behavioral neuroscience domains
PLEASE NOTE: Experience focused exclusively on neurodegenerative or pathological disease models (e.g. Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, ALS) is not aligned with the needs of this role.
We are specifically looking for candidates who have used behavioral neuroscience tools in non-pathological contexts, such as exploring cognition, emotion, adaptability, attention, or response to stress.
